About Alpine

Alpine's Mission

To provide achievable, well-designed and well-constructed homes to residents of the Lake Tahoe Basin to whom cost and proximity to their employment are just as important as the quality of their lives.

Alpine's Goal

To establish itself as a leader in Lake Tahoe through the design and delivery of achievable housing units to those of more moderate circumstance without sacrificing quality and safety of the finished product.

Alpine Corporation is the Lake Tahoe region’s most dynamic developer of multifamily achievable housing properties. Based in Lake Tahoe, Alpine has forged and maintains deep and long-lasting relationships throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin. These relationships provide Alpine with the “home field” advantage in quickly identifying and receiving approvals for the essential projects it delivers to the employees and workers in the region.

With an accomplished team of professionals, the company maintains its successful standing through their commitment to honorable business practices and environmental stewardship.

Work Force Housing v. Achievable Housing v. Affordable Housing

Alpine elects to develop its properties as Achievable Housing as opposed to affordable housing. Both are in the category of Work Force Housing. The latter separates a vast majority of the workers whose earnings fall below the 60% of AMI for their region. While it is this threshold that qualifies residents for Affordable Housing, they are a vibrant and important portion of the entire work force throughout the United States.

Achievable Housing targets those individuals and families seeking to live within reasonable proximity to where they are working. Typically, these are residents earning between 60% – 120% of AMI. These residents may include local firefighters, police officers, school teachers, middle managers, small business owners, and nurses for whom the communities in which they work, as is often the case, has a cost of living beyond the means of the majority of the very population needed to support the infrastructure of the very community they serve.
